Of all people, here's one. I’ve just been dragging my feet from one end of memory lane to the other, reading my old, ostenstatiously entitled “blog." Should I be grateful? I noticed your words, Bryan. It's good to be around. Delete upon receipt. It's the measure of a man. "We are incapable, while we are in love, of acting as fit predecessors of the next persons who, when we are in love no longer, we shall presently have become." - Proust, 1949, translated by Derek Parfit, of all people. Here's another: we hideously oblivious riddled with faults are alive is a wonderful gift from nobody at all. I am a teacher in the same way that a student is a the second proposition between another left or two or three and you'll can't miss it, that is, me. In no way at all back to the teachering with papers written by chimps. Read me! Awww, comment. Stand in famous peoples' shoulders' shadows with the firing squad bear. Fucking stupid.

It's been so long since I've posted to my blog, that I wonder whether anyone suffers themselves to at whiles cast their searching gaze hither. Whatever. This page has ever been a monological exercise in talking to myself; so here's my recent post. I deserve the worst. The worsty when worth isn't worthy and others grow thirsty. What's he talking about? Doesn't he know that no one likes that kind of thing? No one likes that kind of thing. Fucking land of plenty empty handedly commanded me
to stop, so now i'm stopping; old ways always stop my starts to seal up sopping healing hearts are dropping into lowest gear for knowing. Open up and know me better. Know me better, man. Don't, though, knowest. Why I'm lowest.

Here's a petition, drafted and circulated by Chris in order to promote his and others' offbeat funnies:

His valiant though largely ceremonial effort to infuse the cav daily with something of value has my full support. I hasten to caution him, though, to brace himself for what may ultimately prove to be the biggest disappointment of his adult life: continued journalistic mediocrity and ham-fisted, inarticulate moderate/conservative line-toeing from the horse's ass, or mouth, or ass. Hence, he may be wasting his time, unless he more highly values sheer exposure than evading a total forfeiture of artistic integrity via guilt by association. Good luck.

For desperate hope on this and similar undertakings, consider this related scenario.

"However richly endowed we may be, we always lack something, and the best among us feel our own inadequacy. This is why we seek in our friends those qualities we lack, because in uniting with them we share in some way in their nature, feeling ourselves then less incomplete...Love presumes a certain harmony of thought and feeling. It is nevertheless true that what imparts its specific character to this tendency and generates its specific force is not the similarity but the dissimilarity of the natures that it links together."
-Emile Durkheim, from The Division of Labor in Society

I contend that the complexly bureaucratic, hierarchical structure of rationalized institutions provides well-situated individuals in positions of authority the opportunity to reap with impunity a disproportionate share of the benefits of the efficiency of these arrangements while systematically neglecting the interests of those who are disadvantaged by the relative balance of power, and that these opportunities, and therefore the marginal persons in question, are routinely exploited. On a lighter note, Ignorance is Bliss, track 3; Reactionary, track 5. "Lighter note." Lighter note. Light her note.
